Text Box: Grandma—A poem from the Parcel2ship team

She sits and waits
Gazing out of the window at the passing world
Exactly four score years have passed
Since that day she was brought screaming into the light
Family brought up and left home
But never out of her thoughts
Wait, a ring at the door, then again
It's here, they've remembered, I knew they would
Parcel2ship have sent the Parcelforce man
He hands over one parcel, then another
She signs and returns a grateful smile
So, think of your loved ones and show them you care
Keep them in your thoughts and send them your love

United fans. Torquay is in a beautiful part of the South West of England but its location causes a headache for the team (known as the ‘Gulls’) and its supporters. Torquay United travel further than any other club in league 2, a massive total of over eleven thousand miles in the 2009/10 season. That is nearly half way around the earth.

In total, the 24 clubs in League Two will travel close to 150,000 miles between them throughout a season. This is about two thirds of the distance to the moon.

Torquay United Commercial manager Dean Edwards welcomed the new partnership between the club and Parcel2ship.co.uk. Dean said “We are delighted to welcome Parcel2ship.co.uk on board as a Torquay United sponsor for 2010/11. Torquay United are always looking for innovative, progressive businesses just like Parcel2ship.co.uk to come on board and I'm sure this season will be a successful one for both parties. We look forward to working with Parcel2ship.co.uk in driving both businesses' forward over the coming year.''

Denis Caunce, Parcel2ship.co.uk technical director, added “We are proud to work with Torquay United Football club. The club has a long history and represents the ‘real’ football that many supporters up and down the country watch every week. Clubs such as Torquay United are part of the local community and don’t receive the eye watering TV income that Premier league or even Championship teams receive. We hope that Parcel2ship.co.uk can help Torquay United prosper in league 2.”

Two years to go till the London Olympics - new stamps mark latest milestone

It seems only yesterday that London won the right to stage the 2012
Olympic Games but the opening ceremony is now less than 2 years
away. The Royal Mail are celebrating this milestone by issuing the
second of their London 2012 Olympic and Paralympics Games stamp
ranges.

Royal Mail will issue 30 1st Class stamps in the run-up to the 30th Olympiad as part of its role as an official licensee of the Games.

The latest issue went on sale on 27th July. It is titled ‘On Track for 2012’ and features a fresh set of ten images of Olympic and Paralympics sports. The stamps feature established sports like hockey and football, and more recent additions including taekwondo and BMX cycling.

Philip Parker, Royal Mail Stamps spokesperson, said: "This series of stamps is creating a
fascinating montage of the sports which make the Olympics and Paralympics one of the
greatest events on the planet.

"In addition to appearing on millions of letters, the stamps also form part of a
wonderful sporting collection to celebrate the 30th Olympiad.". The third and final set of stamps will be issued in 2011.
